| Ancient Noguera. Prehistory |

The project "Ancient Noguera" is a project planned for the three-year period
of 2000-2002 and will consist of two long-term temporary exhibitions and a series
of complementary activities. The first exhibition "Prehistory2 goes over the
first times of our lands and their occupation by man: from the inhabitants of the
Farfanya river valley, more than 200,000 years ago, up until the first urban communities
that were settled in Colomina de Gerb or in Pedrera de Termens-Vallfogona de Balaguer
in the VI-VII BC.
The second part, titled "Ilergetas* and Romans" will be opened to the public
in November of 2001 and will deal with the beginnings of the Iberian culture, from
the VI century BC until the crisis of the Roman Empire and the Visigothic age of
the VI-VII centuries of our age.
*Pre-Roman people who lived in the area of Lleida.
